Integrating Healthcare, Fitness, and Wellness in Southern Summit County
The Cleveland Clinic – Akron General Health & Wellness Center in Green is a 99,237-square-foot state-of-the-art outpatient and wellness facility complemented by a connected 40,000-square-foot medical office building. Completed in 2012, the development was created for Cleveland Clinic Akron General to expand access to healthcare, fitness, and preventive medicine in southern Summit County. The center integrates clinical services with fitness and wellness programs, supporting Cleveland Clinic’s mission to promote health, prevention, and recovery within a single, patient-focused environment.
FACILITY FEATURES & SERVICES
The Health & Wellness Center and adjoining medical office building offer a comprehensive mix of clinical, diagnostic, and wellness services that support both preventive and rehabilitative care. The facility includes:

- Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services

The design blends clinical and wellness environments within a modern architectural framework, emphasizing natural light, open spaces, and functional connections between the fitness and medical areas to encourage whole-person health.
Rendina’s Role
Rendina served as developer and project manager for the Akron General Health & Wellness Center in Green, managing the planning, financing, design, and construction of both the wellness center and medical office building components. Working closely with Cleveland Clinic Akron General leadership, Rendina ensured seamless integration between the clinical and wellness functions, coordinating with healthcare planners, architects, and construction teams to meet Cleveland Clinic’s design and operational standards. The project was delivered on schedule and within budget, supporting the system’s vision for community-based health and wellness delivery.

The Akron General Health & Wellness Center in Green serves as a model for integrated healthcare delivery, combining medical, rehabilitative, and wellness services in one convenient location.
